After the Lesson

Provide feedback and suggestions for the student's practice until the next lesson. Utilize the Muzeg platform to send direct messages for follow-up.
Note the student's progress and plan for the next session. This helps customize the learning experience and maintain a commitment to learning.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

When a lesson is confirmed, it’s a commitment between you and your student. Canceling or rescheduling should be a last resort. Always communicate this clearly through Muzeg’s online teaching policy.

More than 24 Hours Before the Lesson: If you need to reschedule, it’s possible if both you and your student agree. You can also cancel the lesson. This applies to all private music lessons, including online classes.

Within 24 Hours of the Lesson Start Time: Rescheduling or canceling the lesson isn’t allowed. If issues arise after the lesson's scheduled time, report them using Muzeg’s "Report a Problem" feature and choose a resolution option.

Emergency Situations: If emergencies cause multiple cancellations, contact support@muzeg.com for help. Muzeg’s policies aim to provide accessible education and support in unexpected situations.

Punctuality and Lesson Management

Late Students: If your student is late, be ready to teach for the entire booked lesson time. Teachers are not required to make up for time lost due to the student’s tardiness or to extend the lesson beyond its scheduled end time. This rule applies to all lessons, from beginner to advanced levels.

Uncompleted Lessons: If a lesson cannot be completed on time, Muzeg encourages teachers and students to resolve the issue by reporting it. Keep relevant information about the uncompleted lesson if Muzeg’s mediation is needed. This helps maintain a smooth learning experience.

No-Shows: You are entitled to full payment if a student misses a lesson without notice. However, if the student had an emergency or a genuine reason, consider allowing them to reschedule. This flexibility supports a positive learning experience for both teachers and students.

Additional Tips for Online Music Lessons

Use Advanced Technology: Enhance your online music lessons with advanced tools like annotation features. Make sure your video chats have a clean background to maintain a professional environment.

Prepare in Advance: Have audio materials to support your student’s learning. This includes lessons on complex topics like string or electric instruments.

Following these guidelines ensures high-quality sound and a practical student learning experience. Muzeg’s comprehensive online music programs are designed to help both beginners and advanced learners.
