As a teacher on Muzeg™, you operate as a self-employed individual. Muzeg™ is not your employer or contractor and does not issue employer tax forms. You are responsible for reporting your income according to the laws of your country.
How to Report Your Income
- Understand your obligations. Check your local rules for self-employment and, if applicable, foreign-earned income.
- Gather income details. The most reliable records are your payout provider statements (e.g., PayPal, bank/Stripe). Use Muzeg™ wallet history to reconcile earnings vs. withdrawals.
- Keep proof of payment. Download/print statements or invoices from your payout provider and keep them with your records.
Where to Find the Numbers
Payout provider (primary source)
- PayPal: Activity → Statements/Reports → download monthly/annual statements.
- Bank/Stripe: Refer to your bank statements or Stripe Express payout statements (if applicable to your account/region).
Muzeg™
- Dashboard → Wallet: Review transaction totals and Withdraws you initiated.
- Match these to your provider statements to ensure all payouts are captured.
Will I Receive a Tax Form?
Muzeg™ does not issue employer forms. Your payout provider may issue forms directly to you if your local thresholds are met (for example, certain countries require platforms/processors to issue annual summaries, such as Form 1099-K in the U.S.). Check your provider’s help center for details and thresholds.
Record-Keeping Tips
- Save invoices, payout statements, and bank records in a single folder (by month/quarter).
- Note fees withheld by payout providers; your jurisdiction may allow expense deductions for such fees.
- Update your log regularly to simplify annual filing.
